Bhangarh
Renowned for the much acclaimed and haunted Bhangarh Fort, Bhangarh has a fascinating history associated with it. Regarded as one of the medieval forts in Rajasthan, it was established as a residence for King Madho Singh, the younger sibling of Emperor Akbar’s general called Man Singh, following ascetic Guru Balu Nath’s orders. The fort complex encompasses temples of Lord Someshwar, Gopinath, Mangala Devi, and Keshava Rai and other natural features like waterfalls, natural springs, and more. Owing to its haunted status no one is allowed to stay in the fort post-sunset. Legal action can be taken against anyone who does.
